The key points for controlling the quality of release film include coating uniformity, high residual adhesion, flatness, and high cleanliness. Manufacturers generally control the quality of release film from the following four points.

1. Coating uniformity: The release film needs to be evenly coated. In addition to selecting appropriate solvents, controlling the concentration, viscosity, and solvent evaporation time of the coating agent, the coating equipment is crucial. Most domestic coating factories do not have very good control over solvent based silicone oil. Usually, there is a rainbow phenomenon, and in addition to strengthening the technical and analytical capabilities of coating, the technical services of silicone oil factories also need to be strengthened.

2. High residual adhesion: In addition to being affected by the silicone oil formula, coating conditions, and substrate treatment conditions, the technical services of the silicone oil factory also need to be strengthened.

3. Flatness: Coating equipment is crucial for smoothness, and the blending of silicone oil is also crucial. Most domestic coating factories do not have very good control over solvent based silicone oil;

4. Cleanliness: To improve the cleanliness of a product, there are several parts that need to be controlled. Firstly, the cleanliness and dust removal device of the base film, secondly, the setting of a dust-free workshop, and then the dust removal setting of the cutting equipment. Improving the cleanliness of the product can actually reduce the risk of contamination.
