Why do I Use Matte Release Film for PCB Lamination?
A material used in the lamination of circuit boards in the electronic industry is Matte release film. It is a type of release film, not a protective film, but a process used in the production of flexible circuit boards. It places a matte release film above and below the soft board. After the high-temperature grinding tool is pressed, remove the release film and throw it away.
So, does the matte release film seem to have little effect? Since it has no effect, why have circuit boards been pressed with matte release film? Why protect our phone screens? Why do we need to apply tempered film? In fact, the facts are the same. It can prevent scratches and damage. The same applies to release membranes. Its functions are as follows:
1. It serves to separate the upper aluminum foil from the lower green silicone.
2. The operator can directly remove it from the press by hand without burning their hands.
If a release film is not required, the soft board and green silicone will stick together. After using it two or three times, the release film no longer has much effect, so it was thrown away. This release film serves as an auxiliary production tool.
Product features: matte PET film as the substrate, with release material coated on the surface; The surface of the membrane is smooth and smooth, without defects such as wrinkles, tears, particles, bubbles, pinholes, etc; The product has advantages such as good release stability, good release layer adhesion, small thickness tolerance, low heat shrinkage rate, and good flexibility.
Storage and usage requirements:
1. The storage temperature should be 22-28 ℃, and the relative humidity in the environment should be 50% -70%;
2. Avoid direct sunlight and high temperature (40) ℃, high humidity (over 70%), and high humidity (over 70%) RH storage under the above conditions;
3. It is recommended that users use the product within 6 months from the production date (with a shelf life of 6 months);
4. Before applying this product, the surface that adheres to the object must be dry, clean, and free of oil stains.
That's why matte release film is an essential raw material in PCB lamination.
