The Key Points To Understand the Release Film
Release film refers to a thin film with distinguishable surface, which does not have viscosity or slight viscosity when in contact with a specific material under limited conditions.
Release film is a silicone release agent applied to the surface of environmentally friendly materials such as PET, PE, and OPP films, allowing it to exhibit extremely light and stable release force against various organic pressure sensitive adhesives.
Different organic pressure-sensitive adhesives, such as hot melt adhesives, acrylic adhesives, and pressure-sensitive adhesives for rubber systems, require different release film release forces. Depending on the viscosity of the isolation product adhesive, the release force should be adjusted accordingly to achieve an extremely light and stable release force during peeling.
Classification of release films:
Single sided release film:
HDPE (low pressure polyethylene) release film; Used for sealing waterproof rolls such as adhesive tape LDPE (High Pressure Polyethylene) Release Film; Mechanical product packaging, Hot-melt adhesive packaging, health care products (diapers), anti-corrosion coiled materials, etc .
BOPP (stretched polypropylene) release film; Used for sealing tape, silent tape, etc.
Double sided release film:
Excellent performance of release film:
① High transparency (with a light transmittance of over 90%)
② Excellent heat resistance (melting point 230~240 ℃)
③ Excellent electrical characteristics
④ Drug resistance
⑤ Low density (0.83g/cc)
⑥ Good formability and processability
⑦ Excellent security
