Rapid Development of Release Film in China
In FPC production, it is generally necessary to use release film. The main functions of release film are isolation, filling, protection, and easy peeling. With the development of the electronics industry, the demand for release film/release paper is increasing. However, in order to control production costs, domestic release film/release paper has to be used. Below is a summary of the reasons for the rapid development of release film/release paper in China:
1. Product characteristics: Currently, the commonly used release films/release papers in China are Sanzhi from South Korea, Sumitomo/Mitsui TPX from Japan, Shuishui/Nippon release films, and 3M from the United States. Because different tapes have different adhesive properties. This determines that we need to consider this aspect when choosing.
2. Cost: There is a significant difference between domestic and imported release film/release paper, and generally speaking, the taste of domestic release paper is not very good. Especially in the preparation of 3M tape and Nippon tape, there are often cases where the surface is foggy or the release degree is too low, making it difficult to tear the release paper and product apart. It's just that domestic release film/release paper is definitely cheaper than imported ones. And there is a relatively large price ratio. If considering that the company's products are used for export, it is recommended to use imported release paper for the price of release film, as it will be smoother in terms of customs clearance. Due to the characteristics of domestically produced production equipment and production level. This determines the instability of domestic release paper in certain products, and the serious consequence is the waste of adhesive tape.
3. Production Procedure: The key here is whether to press or cut. Generally, when it comes to stamping or cutting, the thickness of the release film/release paper is required, because low weight release paper is not easy to break when used for stamping. Of course, this is also related to the fragility of the base paper. Poor fragility of the base paper will tear the paper and product apart during stamping or cutting, which cannot achieve the desired or desired effect.
4. Usage: This is mainly reflected in the fact that some products only need to maintain their balance during transportation, which requires the product is not easy to fall when combined.
