Precautions for Selecting Release Film
In terms of release film selection, the main considerations include cost, product quality, production procedures, characteristics and usage of the prepared products! Product features: 3M imported tape, such as Nippon, Sony, Desa, and some domestic tapes, are commonly used in China. Because different tapes have different adhesive properties. This determines that we need to consider this aspect when selecting release membranes.
Cost: There is a significant difference between domestic and imported release films, and generally speaking, the taste of domestic release films is not very good. For example, sometimes there may be surface release defects during adhesive preparation, and the release film and product cannot be easily torn apart. Of course, this situation is rarely seen after the domestic technology is mature. Domestic release membranes are definitely cheaper than imported ones. And there is a significant price difference that the company needs to consider comprehensively.
Due to the climate, release film factories should choose release films with heavy peeling force in the electronic die-cutting industry in winter, and release films with light peeling force in summer. Special requirements for adhesive tape and release film used in the die-cutting process require contact with the release supplier. Production activities can only be carried out after conducting in-depth testing and comparison to avoid quality issues with the finished product.
Coating factories generally choose high coating volume, while composite factories generally choose medium coating volume. If it is hot lamination, high coating volume is also needed. Water glue only needs low coating volume, which is suitable for oil glue and protective film use. High coating volume is not suitable for protective film use.
Production Procedure: The key here is whether to press or cut. Generally, when it comes to stamping or cutting, the thickness of the release film is required, because low weight release film is not easy to break when used for stamping. Of course, this is also related to the fragility of the base paper. The base paper with poor fragility will tear the paper and product apart during stamping or cutting. Not achieving the desired or desired effect.
The classification of release agents can be divided into plastic and non plastic types, as release agents have certain permeability. Without a certain barrier, release agents can penetrate into the interior of the paper, resulting in poor curing and excessive use of release agents (high cost) and many other adverse factors. Therefore, plastic coating (commonly known as coating) is required on paper. Polyethylene (PE) particles are generally used for coating in China, and the Melt flow index is required to be about 7. Petrochemical 1C7A is generally used for domestic PE particles.
