How to Choose the Appropriate Release Film?
Generally speaking, release film should be able to adhere to the prepreg, but it should be easy to separate the two and not react chemically with the resin system; When the environmental humidity changes, the length and width of the release film should remain unchanged. How can we choose a high-quality release film? Below, we will explain how to select release membranes from the following four aspects:
1. Selection based on the characteristics of the prepared products: Currently, most of the commonly used adhesive tapes in China are imported, and different adhesive tapes have different characteristics, which determines that we need to consider this aspect when selecting release films. After being pulled, the elongation of the release film should be consistent with the fiber to prevent deformation or twisting caused by different stretching frequencies during the preparation process.
2. Choose based on cost: The cost of release films is different from that of domestic and imported ones. Basically, domestic release films are not as popular as imported ones due to brand effect and long-term word-of-mouth promotion. However, domestic release film products are cheaper than imported ones and have a relatively large price ratio. If the company's products are used for export, it may be better to choose imported release films, which will be smoother during customs clearance. However, price is not the only choice factor, and to avoid waste, it is still necessary to meet one's own conditions.
3. Selection from production procedures: The key here is whether to press or cut. Generally, when it comes to pressing or cutting, the thickness of the release film is required to be higher, because low weight release films are not easy to break during stamping, although the degree of fragility of the backing paper is also related.
4. Selection based on usage: This is mainly reflected in the fact that some products only need to maintain their balance during transportation, which requires the product to not fall easily when combined with the release film.
