Experience in Using High Temperature Resistant PET Release Film

Analysis of Common Problems with PET Release Film Regarding the Use of PET Release Film in Die Cutting, the following problems are often encountered: 1. After the adhesive tape is attached to the release film, some of the adhesive tape peels back and makes a popping sound. 2. Anti stripping, the stripped material has not been stripped. 3. After punching and placing for a period of time, the tape and release film cannot be peeled off. 4. Analysis of common problems

Regarding the use of PET release film in die cutting, the following issues are often encountered:

1、After the tape adhered to the release film, partial tape is hard to peel off and makes poping sound.

2、Bad peeling off: the material failed to be peeled of.

3. After punching and placing for a period of time, the tape and release film cannot be peeled off.

4. The surface of the release film is very oily, and it feels like the release layer is easily detached.

5. During the unwinding and winding process, the release film generates static electricity and adsorbs dust.

In response to the above issues, there are generally the following reasons:

1. There is a noise during peeling, which is caused by excessive release force and uneven coating;

2、Anti stripping is mainly caused by the unsatisfactory combination of release forces for two reasons: firstly, the factory inspection of release films is not strict, the inspection equipment is incomplete, and the production process is not stable enough, resulting in significant differences in release forces between products of the same model. The price of release film has led die-cutting factories to use release films with the release force they consider due to usage habits. Secondly, the weather resistance of the release layer is insufficient and undergoes significant changes over time.

3. After being attached to the tape, it cannot be peeled off, which is usually due to uneven application. Some PET release films with severe leakage can cause a certain part to have no release effect, resulting in the inability to peel off the tape. This problem should be avoided in circular knife die-cutting.

4、The greasiness of the release surface is mainly caused by the isolation agent system, and it is not necessarily bad for greasy things. In fact, some greasy release films have a more uniform surface coating and better residual adhesion. But some are purely due to poor adhesion, and silicone oil is prone to detachment. These can all be determined through detection.

5. Static electricity problems are generally long-term in terms of chemical treatment, in addition to physical treatment methods. Generally, photoelectric grade die-cutting factories have dust-free workshops and anti-static equipment, so the problem is not significant. For those with strict requirements, anti-static coating can be chosen.
