Introduction and Detailed Explanation of the Use of Release Film

Release film is a commonly used material in heat transfer printing, which is made of PET substrate and coated with silicone oil, hence it is also called silicone oil film. So what are the main uses of it? What types can be divided into? Next, follow the editor of Ruichangxing to explore further! The conventional thickness of the release film generally ranges from 25um to 150um. There are two types of products: cold and hot tearing and smooth and matte surface. After anti-static and scratch resistant treatment, the product has good adsorption and adhesion. Now it has been widely used in packaging, printing, silk screen, pad printing, nameplate, film switch, flexible circuit, insulation products, circuit board, laser anti-counterfeiting, lamination, electronics, sealing materials, and reflective materials

Release film is a commonly used material in heat transfer printing, the substrate PET, which is coated with silicone oil and is also called a silicone oil film. So what are the main uses of it? What types can be divided into?

The conventional thickness of the release film generally ranges from 25um to 150um. There are two types of products: cold and hot tearing and smooth and matte surface. After anti-static and scratch resistant treatment, the product has good adsorption and adhesion. It has now been widely used in industries such as packaging, printing, silk screen printing, pad printing, engraved plates, film switches, flexible circuits, insulation products, circuit boards, laser anti-counterfeiting, lamination, electronics, film for sealing materials, reflective materials, waterproof materials, sanitary paper, adhesive products, die cutting and punching processing.

Now we will explain in detail the classification and uses of release films.

The use and characteristics of silicone oil release film

The silicone oil release film used in the die-cutting industry has the following characteristics: high-quality PET substrate is selected, the release force is uniform and stable, non antistatic/single (double) antistatic, and the thickness and color are diverse. It is mainly used in industries such as dry adhesive tape, double-sided adhesive tape industry, and precision material die-cutting.

The silicone oil release film used in the graphite industry has uniform and stable release force, ultra-light/overweight release force, diverse thickness, color, and release force ranging from 3 to 400g. It can also be used as an anti-static layer according to customer requirements. Mainly used for rolling graphite bare materials.

Application and characteristics of fluorine release film

Fluorine release film, also known as fluoroplastic release membrane. It is made of fluorinated organic silicon coated on the surface and has high temperature resistance characteristics. For silicone tape, it has excellent peeling performance. Mainly used in high-temperature tape and gold finger composite die-cutting processes.

Application and characteristics of non silicon release film

Non silicon release films not only have a heavy peeling force, but also can function in certain fields that cannot contain silicon because they do not use silicon series release agents. It has the characteristics of uniform and stable release force, uniform thickness, strong temperature and weather resistance, good tensile strength, and good thermal stability.

Non silicon release film is mainly used for Hot-melt adhesive, HC transfer printing, micro adhesive and micro adhesive protective film processing. In addition, due to its heavy peeling force, it can effectively prevent the release film from moving or falling off when processing very small components.

Application and characteristics of anti-static release film

In the information age, electromagnetic waves can cause varying degrees of interference to unshielded sensitive electronic components, circuit boards, communication equipment, etc., resulting in data distortion and communication disorder. The static electricity generated by electromagnetic induction and friction can cause destructive effects on various sensitive components, instruments, and certain chemical products, such as high-voltage discharge caused by the accumulation of static electricity in packaging films.
