Common Problems and Solutions of PET Release Film

PET release film is a commonly used auxiliary material in the production process of die cutting factories. Of course, some problems cannot be avoided when using PET release film. Therefore, we have summarized several common problems and solutions for PET release film during die cutting processing. 1、 In the process of die-cutting, the PET release film usually encounters the following problems: 1. After the Double-sided tape is bonded with the PET release film, some double-sided tape will peel back and make abnormal sound when peeling. 2. PET release film is a commonly used auxiliary material in the production process of die-cutting factories. Of course, some problems cannot be avoided when using PET release film. Therefore, we have summarized several common problems and solutions for PET release film during die cutting processing.

During the die-cutting process, PET release films typically encounter the following issues:

1. After the double-sided adhesive tape is bonded to the PET release film, some of the double-sided adhesive tape will peel back and make abnormal noises during peeling.

2. Anti stripping refers to the material that has not been stripped.

3. After punching and placing for a period of time, the tape and release film cannot be peeled off.

4. The release force of the release membrane is very low, and it feels like the release layer is easily detached.

5. During the winding process, the release film will generate static electricity and adsorb dust.

For the above issues, there are usually the following solutions:

1. There is a noise during peeling, which is caused by excessive release force and uneven coating.

2. Anti stripping is mainly caused by an unsatisfactory combination of release forces, which can be attributed to two reasons:

① The factory inspection of PET release film is not strict, the inspection equipment is incomplete, and the production process is not stable enough, resulting in excessive differences in release force between products of the same model. As a result, the die-cutting factory used the release film they thought was the release force due to usage habits.

② The weathering resistance of the release layer is insufficient and has undergone significant changes over time.

3. After being attached to the tape, it cannot be peeled off, which is usually caused by uneven application. Some release films that are severely missed can cause a certain part to have no release effect, resulting in the tape being unable to be peeled off. This problem should be avoided in circular knife die-cutting.

4. The oily release surface is mainly caused by the isolation agent system, and it is not necessarily bad for oily things. In fact, some oily release films are evenly coated on the surface and have better residual adhesion. But some are purely poor in sealing, and silicone oil is prone to detachment. These can all be determined through detection.

5. Static electricity problems are generally permanent in terms of chemical treatment, in addition to physical treatment methods. Generally, photoelectric grade die-cutting factories have dust-free workshops and equipment for removing static electricity, so the problem is not significant. For those with strict requirements, anti-static coated release films can be chosen.
